Public notice: Broom Field Development Environmental Assessment

DNO Heather Limited (DNO) has applied to the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry for consent to develop the Broom field by subsea tie-back to the existing Heather Alpha platform for processing and export.  The Broom field is located some 93 km NE of the Shetland Islands in Blocks 2/05 and 2/04 and would be developed from a location in Block 2/05.
 
In accordance with the above mentioned Regulations this application is accompanied by an Environmental Statement, a copy of which may be inspected between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. on business days at DNO Heather Ltd, Salvesen Tower, Blaikies Quay, Aberdeen, AB11 5PW, and at Shetland Library, Lower Hillhead, Lerwick, Shetland, ZE1 0EL until close of business on 19/07/03.
 
Copies of the Environmental Statement may be requested by writing to the Broom Project, DNO Heather Ltd, Salvesen Tower, Blaikies Quay, Aberdeen, AB11 5PW, subject to a payment of £10 by P.O. or cheque made payable to DNO Heather Ltd.
 
Members of the public have until 19/07/03 to make representations in relation to the application to the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry.  These should be marked "project D/1859/2003" and addressed to Elaine McLaughlin, Licensing Consents Unit, Department of Trade and Industry, Atholl House, 86-88 Guild Street, Aberdeen, AB11 6AR.
