DNO ASA - DNO is today announcing an update on drilling activities in the Republic of Yemen:

DNO has completed 3 of it's 13 well exploration program in Yemen for 2007. The results are as follows:

The Rig 905 will now be moved to Block 44 for drilling an exploration well.

The exploration well Shaibah # 1 was drilled by Rig 908 on a structure in the SW area of Block 43 to test possible reservoirs within the Naifa and Madbi formations. Spud date for the well was January 5th and the well is drilled to a total depth of 3123m. No oil was encountered in the target formations, but high gas readings were observed while drilling the deeper formations. Partners in Block 43 are Oil Search and The Yemen Company.

Rig 908 is now moving to the Nabrajah Field for drilling of a Qishn infill well. Thereafter a deep appraisal well will be drilled. The target of this deep appraisal well is based on interpretation of the new 3-D seismic acquired in 2006.
