CR policy

CR policy

We recognize that meeting economic, social and environmental demands of our broader stakeholders has an important impact on our corporate reputation.

Like many international oil and gas companies, we operate under intense scrutiny in some of the most challenging areas of the world and acknowledge that ethical, sustainable and responsible operating policies are expected to be of a high standard.

The Board of Directors are focused on strengthening DNO’s Corporate Responsibility (CR) policies and performance, taking account of both internal and external feedback – while also keeping our commitment to maximize shareholder value through a contingent and dynamic business strategy.

Simple and transparant

Aligned with our CR Vision, our CR Policy seeks to develop and maintain simple and transparent systems that enable us to implement and meet internal and external sustainability expectations on an operational level throughout all business units. Along with our QHSE and HR-policy, our Risk Management Manual and guidelines on CR and Management of Third Parties, this document constitutes the foundation for our approach to CR.

We have identified seven key areas that constitute the Company’s CR platform. The platform is an essential part of DNO’s business strategy, mapping our approach to critical stakeholder issues in all fields of operation, where we constantly seek to:

  • Improve and develop QS-HSE issues
  • Support and respect the protection of human rights in all operations
  • Comply with ILO Standards as far as practicable and within the local legislation
  • Have a zero-tolerance against both the giving and receiving of bribes or other ways of corruption, including extortion
  • Make sure all employees and sub-contractors comply with our Code of Conduct
  • As far as practicable possible purchase goods and services locally
  • Identify social projects that are relevant and yields a high return for both the local community and the company
