President and Managing Director
Helge Eide, a Norwegian citizen, (born 1954) has served as Managing Director (President) since 2000.
He has served as a director and held various management positions with the company since 1996.
Mr Eide has more than 30 years of experience in the oil industry. Mr Eide previously held a number of management positions in oil and offshore companies, including Smedvig Group, Norsk Hydro AS, Read Petroleum Energy and Elf.
Mr Eide holds a bachelors degree in petroleum engineering from Rogaland College.
